About
Om Pathak
My journey began in theater, where i worked as an actor, writer, and director. Over time, I discovered a growing passion for photography and decided to pursue a career in the arts rather than following the traditional routes of science or commerce. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Photography and Journalism from the renowned Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth in Pune, India.
Soon after, I began my career as a photojournalist and commercial photographer, collaborating with various agencies and high-profile clients. my work in still photography naturally led me to the world of film. I transitioned to the role of Director of Photography (DP), working as an assistant to some of the most respected DPs in India. My diverse portfolio includes feature films, TV shows, music videos, and documentaries.
One pivotal moment in my career came when he was tasked with creating a documentary about my late grandfather, Prabhakar Pathak. This project brought me to Los Angeles, where I completed a cinematography certification at the New York Film Academy in Burbank. Today, i works as a DP, gaffer, and colorist.
With a wealth of experience across various genres—from comedy and drama to thriller and action and many more—i have had the privilege of working with industry experts on major feature productions and collaborating with outstanding music artists. I approach each project with enthusiasm and dedication, and always striving to bring a director’s vision to life through his technical skills and creative energy.
